I am currently an accountant at the University of Toronto and volunteer as treasurer for the Black HR Professionals of Canada and Toronto Caribbean Kiwanis Club of Toronto. I am also a Chartered Professional Accountant and have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Toronto.
I began my investment journey after recognizing that the 9-5 was not going to provide the type of retirement that I would like. Initially, I was looking at investing in Waterloo as there were condos being close for $200,000. However, that changed when I saw a video that Frank Corbin made about using housing equity to fund investments. So I decided then that being an investor is what I wanted to do. Since 2021, I have purchased and closed on a townhouse in Oshawa. I also currently have a townhouse in Milton that I started to Airbnb. This is only the beginning and with the success of these two properties I hope to acquire many more and build a $50 million portfolio.
