I will tell you my story… way back in 2001 of December 8th I reached the beautiful country of Canada. I’m originally from the Philippines, and I came here as a nanny to my husband's nephew. I came here alone and 5 months pregnant with my second child. It was too difficult, I thought I could not make it. I left my firstborn child, who is only 3 yrs old at that time and I raised my second son alone here in Canada. However, after 5 years of waiting my husband and my firstborn child arrived in Canada on April 2006.
Every time I used to walk with my kids and nephew, I would be pulling their wagon and look at those beautiful, big houses in Woodbridge. I said to myself “I want to have a nice big house too but it looks like it's impossible for me to have 1 of those houses”. My husband and I tried to save money to accumulate $40k for 4 years. We saved a lot for the salary we were making. So, in short, we bought our first house in Islington and Finch; It was a semi-detached house. After living their for 3 yrs I was not happy. I'm a dreamer, I wanted a bigger house! I have 3 kids, and the house was small for us. So I sold the house and bought a 4 bedroom house in Ajax, in 2013. When the house had enough equity, I told my husband to buy another property by using our equity; he didn’t like the idea. Time passed so fast. My firstborn child graduated and started to make money. For some reason, he became a dreamer like his mom. He saved his money, and he asked his dad to buy a pre-construction home so, by the time he graduated with his second degree, the condo would be ready.
Through my friend Fitzroy Bailey of Sunnybrook, he introduced me to Frank Corbin - Broker of Record of REMIC REALTY INC. My friend told me he is the best guy in real estate and that he could help me out. So Frank helped us buy a pre-construction condo. The condo hopefully will be ready by the end of 2024 or 2025. My son shares 10 percent of down-payment, and we gave only 5 percent for now. This was not from equity, it was from our savings. I'm an environmental service worker at Sunnybrook. My son, for now, is an RPN and my husband is a metal polisher.
So at this point in the story we have a house in Ajax and a pre-construction condo. Now, because I'm too interested in real estate I convinced my husband to withdraw his investment and put down to another pre-construction property. Now, I have a pre-construction home in Newcastle, which is ready by March of 2024. Every time your Frank Corbin is making a video, I'm always watching very keenly. I learned a lot from him. He said one time “do you know guys that you can have a cheaper condo and that condo is your basement”, and here I was complaining about how I'm going to have extra money. My basement now, with the help of the Corbin Family, is making $2,250 every month. I didn’t realize I have gold in my own house.
I was born poor, but I don't want to die poor. If you believe and work hard. NOTHING IS Impossible. I’m so thankful that I met Frank Corbin and his 2 lovely daughters- Danielle Corbin and Deonthe Corbin. They are amazing people who are teaching people to be successful and rich. Frank truly opened my eyes. It's so good to have a mentor who can lead us, teach us to be successful, and rich.
A nanny before who cried night and day for 5 years that I'm away from my family, now has:
A 4 bedroom house
A rented basement apartment
A pre-construction condo is probably ready by late 2024
A pre-construction 3 bedroom house in New Castle ready on March 2024
And I keep dreaming of 1 more in Port Hope
ALL of this is not impossible because I follow my mentor, Frank Corbin. From the bottom of my heart, thank you my mentor and that is my real story.
